He killed them because he needed his clothing to give it when he lost the bet about his riddle.

Samson was angry after Philistines killed his ex-wife so he killed many of them

Philistines came to capture him and during way as a prisoner he break the rope and kill 1000 of them

When Samson was already captured, Philistines bring him to entertain them. Being between columns supporting the building he pushed them and torn down building.
